Frankly Speaking ........Now!

It's Time for Joy!

Hello Everyone,

I am sharing my thoughts with you, again!  Why?  You are one of my relationships, contacts, acquaintances, or friends.  We have met for a purpose and a reason.  Hopefully, I enrich your life with my talents and purposes, as you enrich mine with yours.  We need each other.  It is a very unwise person that thinks he can build alone.  Big dreams require “big” people. If we can accomplish our dreams single handedly, they are much too small. Big dreams reveal more will be required than that which is currently possessed. We need each other, and the talents and gifting God has given each of us.  Together, with God, we are well able to do everything He’s asked us to do!

I am reminded of a familiar verse that speaks to my heart for this season of my life.  Maybe you need it, too.  Be encouraged!  “He never ever leaves us or forsakes us.”  No matter how it seems or feels, He is with us always!  I can truly say, the Lord is my "best" friend!  He has been there through it all.  He stuck close beside me during my mistakes and was there through the results of my choices.  He stood with me when everyone else was too embarrassed by my actions and failures to do the same.  He has always been my help in times of trouble.  He has been my refuge and my strength in every situation.  My prayers are as sweet incense unto His nostrils.  All my tears are bottled as trophies, because He cares about what caused each one.  He has numbered every hair, because He is concerned about even the smallest of details.  The King of Kings, my heavenly daddy, is the ruler and creator of all there is.  He is never too busy for me, or you! He’s always available, 24/7!

I guess that you are tired of hearing about ME! I don’t blame you.  It is really about you.  It is about others.  God is no respecter of persons. What HE does for others, He does for you!  It is time to put ourselves in the place where He can.  It is time to release all of the "we cant’s" into His hands.  We can trust Him!  He has proven Himself trustworthy! He is faithful!  He sees from a higher perspective.  He sees the "big picture” and the total view.  He knows which piece completes the puzzle  we are trying to solve in our own strength.

Remember, He knows us better than anyone ever will, or ever could.  He knows what will make us happy and He knows how to protect us from everything that will harm us.  That is why He can say, “Trust Me with ALL your heart."  We keep messing it up when we try to do things with our own strength and within our own understanding.  It is time to let Him direct our choices and our way.  He makes our paths straight without all of the detours and wrong way turns!

God makes deposits of His resources and strength into each of us.  He continually helps us in discovering our dreams and desires, as well as revealing the plans and purposes He has for our lives. We bring a slow death to many of them by focusing upon the "have nots", the "cants" and the "will nevers.”  Why? I believe it is because our “expectations” of the completion date don’t happen fast enough.  They are not “finished” within our time frame, so we get the wrong perception that it will not happen at all.

Quickly, we have become "fast food junkies" and are carrying that mentality over into the spiritual realm.  We have become spoiled as we pull up to drive-through menus at almost every “fast food” restaurant.  We are ordering what we want… proceeding to the window…and they are delivering it to us while we stay in our car. This process is completed within just a few minutes, most of the time.  There is not much waiting and not a lot of sacrifice or work involved on our end.  Let’s wait upon God to open Heaven’s windows!

God's timing isn’t like ours!  My stomach is usually hollering at the top of it’s lungs because God doesn't usually do fast food.  He cooks full coarse meals with the best china, silverware and setting we can imagine…complete with candles, background music and the right company.  It is always at the best place at the right time AND exactly what we need! We can trust His timing to be perfect...all the time!

“We are surrounded by a great cloud of people whose lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is before us and never give up. We should remove from our lives anything that would get in the way and the sin that so easily holds us back.  Let us look only to Jesus, the One who began our faith and who makes it perfect. He suffered death on the cross. But he accepted the shame as if it were nothing because of the joy that God put before him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne.  Think about Jesus’ example. He held on while wicked people were doing evil things to him. So don’t get tired and stop trying.” Heb 12:1-3.

Do you see why this scripture is important? We see Jesus looked at the JOY beyond His present situation to endure what He went through. He saw “the ending” that made the present needful.  It’s time that we look to the destination and upon the beauty along the way. It’s time to think upon good things. It’s time to speak with positive words.  It’s time to stop complaining and look upon the JOY that lies ahead.  Just as the seasons change...ours will too!  This momentary light affliction is producing eternal Glory! It’s time to let our dreams live again.  It’s time to hope again.  It’s time to believe that God truly gives us the desires of our hearts.  It’s time to let that which seems dead to “come forth,” allowing God to resuscitate its very breath.  It’s time for a resurrection of possibilities, attitudes and faith.  It’s time to set our eyes upon the goal in this present life, as well as upon eternity.

Paul reminded, "Brothers and sisters in Christ, I count not myself to have apprehended or arrived, but this ONE thing I do...forgetting those things which are behind.  I reach forth unto those things which are ahead.  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus!  I have set my eyes upon the goal and will keep going forward until I attain it.  I will not let my past hinder me!”  He had his eyes and heart fixed upon the joyful solutions waiting ahead.

I am done exhorting, encouraging and sharing.  Hopefully, I have left you with thoughts to pray, ponder and meditate upon.  Be blessed in all things and remember the WHOLE story of ALL Jesus accomplished through His endurance, determination and perseverance. Let’s apply it to our lives and turn what looks like a “bad day” into a victorious one.

Believing the best...with you & in you,
