Frankly Speaking ........Now!
The Couple

Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it

Ephesians 5:28
In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they love their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself.

Ephesians 5:31
The Scripture says, “So a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one body.”

Proverbs 31:10-12
It is hard to find a good wife, because she is worth more than rubies. Her husband trusts her completely. With her, he has everything he needs. She does him good and not harm for as long as she lives.

Proverbs 5:18
Be happy with the wife you married when you were young.

I remember noticing an "older" couple in church one day. They were sitting directly in front of me, so I continued to gaze in their direction while trying to avoid being noticed.  What an awesome pair!  They could have just walked off a movie set.  Even though they were sharply dressed, freshly manicured and groomed, that isn’t what stood out the most.  For several weeks they sat directly in front of me, no matter where I sat. God was definitely trying to get my attention!

As I observed, I saw a concern for each other that is rare these days. There was unselfishness toward each other. It was as if they esteemed each other's needs, desires and concerns above their own. They sat close to each other....and liked it. They touched...and not by accident. They had a glow in their eyes for each other. It was a relationship that had been started and blessed by their heavenly Father.  You could readily see that they were "best” friends and intimate mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Wow, what a picture. It is one I will never forget. I desire what they have.

We all want to be loved!  Let’s allow God to restore and renew those things that have been lost or forgotten in our relationships.   Maybe we just never had it to begin with and we need Him to create something totally new.  He longs to give us our heart’s desires as they line up with His, so let’s continue to share with Him those things that concern us and expect an answer to those requests.  As we continue to put God’s perfect plan into action by loving each other as Christ has loved us, I believe we will be amazed at the results of putting others first!  May He continue to bless you and strengthen you in all of your relationships.
