Frankly Speaking ........Now!
Transforming Michael

This letter is posted by permission of my good friend and a fantastic pastor, Michael Dillard.  He is such an example of faith.  He has stood against the biggest of giants and survived.  There is no complaint that comes from his mouth, though he is bombarded time and time again.  We have prayed for a "cease fire", but it never seems to come for the period of time we expect.  He continues to focus upon the good and actuate the positive in every situation.  What an example to those who know him.  I can say he is truly all that he preaches.  He is what you think he is....a man of God!  There is no pretense with Michael...and nothing hidden.  He is a man that has failed, but one that testifies to the Lord's goodness and complete forgiveness.  Michael should not be living. By the world's observations, he should already be dead. The  doctors have given bad report after bad, yet he continues to fight all odds and he continues to believe the report of the Lord.  "I shall not die. but live, and declare the works of the lord", he says along with David in Psalms 118:17. As for me, I can hardly wait to see everything that God is going to do through Michael Dillard and his testimony of faith and perseverance!  So enjoy and receive this letter as your own.  Michael and I agree that it is for others who are facing impossible odds with no hope but with the Lord!

Michael, you and my son have the same name.  So, you must know I like the name very much, but I also like, respect and love the person behind that name and see the Lord doing a mighty work in your life.  He is growing, expanding, perfecting and completing you to walk into the destiny that has been planned before you were formed in your mother’s womb.  The time is at hand and great opportunity lies ahead.

As we both know, names have great meaning and significance.  A great challenge has been presented with yours, Michael, “who is like God”!  You have been challenged.... persevere!!!

I wanted to come up with something this morning full of revelation.  Okay, Lord, what is going on?  Is there something in his life that he is missing?  Is he lacking a weapon of warfare?  We always seem to think there is something wrong with us….something lacking…..AND, we are right!  That is always the case.  That is also what Satan wants us to focus on, so that we do not walk in the power, strength and fullness of the Lord.  What ever he can get us to focus on becomes our greatest enemy or our greatest strength.

Let’s make sure that we keep our focus upon the Lord and not the many distractions, voices, doubts and fears that we are continually bombarded with!

1 Peter 4:12-13
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Ha!  I like it that He calls you “beloved”, because you truly are dear to His heart.  He loves you so much that He reminds you to rejoice in the midst of what you are going through because He knows that his momentary light affliction is producing eternal glory!

Yep, you are an eternity man…..going to live forever and ever. He has already proven that….So, eternity man…..rejoice!!!  It is a momentary and temporal event!  The time is at hand!  The season is changing…..spring is here!

Psalm 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

I don’t really like the “many” word AND, I don’t like the “afflictions” one either, but He says because of who we are and what He is growing us into, we will have to deal with the two.  Ha!  He also gives us two more,  Deliver and All!!  God is so good!!!

1 Peter 5:10-11
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Michael, again, I exhort you to keep your eyes and thoughts upon eternal things!  While we look not at the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen…..for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal! (1 Cor 4:18)

I am reminded of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.  They too had to face the fire; the “fiery furnace”. Satan also is asking you, “Michael, is it really worth it?  Just bow down. If you don’t, this is going to happen to you!!”  Ha!  They responded with, “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand.”  But if not, we are going to trust Him anyway. We will not bow down, nor will we quit.  We will not stop and we will not bow down to the ordinary.

Furthermore, we will not yield to your way of thinking.  In the spirit of Joshua, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”  With the spirit of David,”Is there not a cause?”   In the spirit of Moses, “Let my people go!”

As Jesus spoke with authority, “Come forth Lazarus”, He is speaking with the same authority today, “Come forth, Michael Dillard...come forth!!!!”

We can trust our God!  He is trustworthy!  He is our refuge and our very present help in trouble!  He has been tried and been found worthy!  Worthy is the Lamb!  Worthy, worthy, worthy!!   He is a conqueror and has made us more than conquerors.  Greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world.   The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us!   He has given us power and authority in Jesus name, and at the name of Jesus, everything in heaven, earth and hell must bow!  He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords!  Ha!  He has given us access 24/7……

To finish…..I love you!  You are a witness and inspiration to me!  You are a man of faith!  Walk in faith and not by sight!  You are being transformed into the MICHAEL that God has called you to be.

It is not easy to be an Olympian.  There is cost, sacrifice, suffering and trials to face, but they are all perfecting, completing and supplying what is lacking.  They are building you and making you into MICHAEL, “who is like God”. That makes me smile and I know it does the same in you!!!

Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

I wish I could just snap my fingers and make it all better, but then, that is not God’s way.  You wouldn’t become MICHAEL, “who is like God” AND there would be a lot of people to miss out on what God is doing in you and through you.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing, James 1:4.

Continuing to believe the best in you,
